MAACRAFT is celebrating its ninth year of existence this year. During this time, it has seen the realisation of many collections and collaborations, with some of the products and prototypes preserved by the designers to this day. But for this year's Budapest Design Week, they decided to share a collection of those with the public, with pieces available at a discount price at the pop-up event.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the people behind MAACRAFT in person, ask questions and even place custom orders. MAACRAFT is a design and social enterprise that was founded in 2012 as a workshop of the Miskolc Autistic Foundation. It produces high-quality objects and gourmet products, while adults with mental disabilities are given an opportunity to learn about the world of work and its joy. In addition, learning gardening and handicraft techniques will help them improve their cognitive and manual skills and learn skills to reflect on visual culture through work therapy sessions.

The products are designed by designers and developed into manufacturable products by consultants and technicians. Every MAACRAFT product purchased will support the young adults with intellectual disabilities involved in the workshop.
